After gaining some experience, I took the opportunity to join the team of professional educators at Oakland Schools. Here I taught K-6 phys. ed with the aim of moving into the district's athletic director role later on.
Got hired at the district I student taught at as a physical education teacher. Here I learned to develop student skills and create a collaborative centered learning environment alongside mentor phys. ed teachers.
Began my teaching journey as a student teacher at Warren Consolidated Schools. Here I taught PE in both elementary and secondary schools across the district; adhered to a rotating schedule to observe diverse learning environments and engage culturally diverse student populations.
